M3K Normalizer · loudness normaliser

Consistent loudness without pumping.

Brings audio to a target LUFS level to EBU R128 — using a leveler with a glue compressor and a true-peak limiter, so nothing clips and nothing breathes. With ready-made profiles for streaming services, broadcast, podcast and club.

How it works

A chain that keeps both loudness and peaks under control

The signal passes through four stages — from metering to the limiter — so the result lands on the target LUFS without overshooting a single peak.

01 · METERING

LUFS analysis

Loudness measurement with K and C weighting and gating to EBU R128 — momentary, short, integrated and custom window modes.

02 · LEVELER

Levelling

Brings the signal to the target LUFS with adjustable rates for adding and removing gain (UP/DOWN) — tuned so the programme does not pump.

03 · COMPRESSOR

Glue compressor

An optional compressor with threshold, ratio, attack and release evens out the dynamics without changing perceived loudness.

04 · LIMITER

True-peak ceiling

A brickwall limiter with 4× oversampling watches inter-sample peaks, so nothing clips once the gain goes up.

Features

Accurate metering, clean result

Measurement-grade accuracy

The metering core is verified 1:1 against the EBU R128 / pyloudnorm reference — K and C weighting, channel summing and linearity all match to tenths of a dB.

A leveler without artefacts

Gain always changes smoothly — no click on start-up, on reset or when a state is loaded. Silence does not build up gain.

True-peak certainty

Inter-sample peaks are detected and limited through 4× oversampling — the target ceiling holds even when driven hard.

In Mber, standalone and as VST3

It runs as a built-in effect in the Mber player, as a standalone application and as a VST3 plugin in a DAW — all three share the same core, so they meter and process identically.

Fader and LRA preview

Before you apply any gain you can see how the result will turn out — including the loudness range (LRA) calculated from the real output.

Free, no strings attached

The application is free and needs no registration. It is built on a tested core with hard safeguards against crashing the host.

Download

Windows 10/11 (64-bit)  ·  standalone and VST3 plugin  ·  free  ·  version 1.0.7

Download installer  ·  2.6 MB

The installer offers both the standalone application and the VST3 plugin, and you can install just one of them. The plugin goes into Program Files \ Common Files \ VST3, where every host application looks for it. Installation requires administrator rights.

The program is free (freeware/donationware) and you may use it commercially. The installer is not signed with a certificate, so Windows will show the blue SmartScreen dialog on first run — click More info and Run anyway. You can verify the file against its SHA-256 checksum.
